This category covers two genuinely different families that clients sometimes mix up: the 5230G World Time (24-city display, useful travel complication, one of Patek's most consistently in-demand complications) and the 5905P and 5170/5172 chronographs, which are a separate line entirely built around Patek's in-house chronograph movements. World Time references carry a distinct collector following independent of the chronograph market, so we appraise the two families on separate comp sets rather than treating "complicated Patek" as one bucket.

Platinum-cased pieces (5905P) sit at the metal-content and rarity ceiling of this group; white-gold and rose-gold chronograph variants trade in a tighter, more predictable range. As with any Patek complication, an accurate, correctly-functioning complication and documented service history move a piece toward the top of its range — an appraisal will test the function, not just inspect the case.
